Pipe Bands

There is nothing more captivating than watching a pipe band marching down your street. The entrance of the massed pipers and drummers in all their glory at the annual Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a sight which enthralls visitors and TV viewers alike across the world. Another side is the Pipe Band competitions. These are very disciplined with strict rules rules like, for example, 3.49 'In forming the circle, the Pipe Major and Leading Drummer may take up a position within the circle to ensure the best performance from the Band.' 3.52 'The centre of the circle to be 14 metres from the start line.'
