Various Artists - Home To Argyll with Ethel MacCallum: Singer composer Ethel MacCallum from Tiree sings and tells stories in Gaelic, with friends including Margaret Bennett, Paul McCallum, Gillebride MacMillan, Sheena Walker, Daniel Thorpe, Alex MacDonald and others. Ethel was born in Glasgow and when her orphanage was bombed in 1943 she was evacuated as a six year old to the Island of Tiree and a new life with a family who loved and nurtured her and who gave her the gift of the language she loves. Excellent sleeve notes with the song words in Gaelic with English translations. 17 tracks
