Various Artists - Fonn Ratharsair (Sounds of Raasay): A very nice album of original music and song inspired by the Island of Raasay and commissioned to celebrate Talla Rathasair (Raasay Hall). The opening set 'Raasay Rant'  features the late great fiddler Jerry Holland's tune 'James Cameron's March' with jig and reel variations written in the Raasay Hall by Bruce MacGregor. Contributions from Blair Douglas, Sandy Brechin, Brian O' hEadhra, Angus MacKenzie, Colm O'Rua, Gabe McVarish, Jonny Hardie, Iain Smith, James Bremner, Brian McAlpine, Ross Martin, Bruce MacGregor.

Raasay - the name is Norse for Isle of the (Roe) or Red Deer, is one of the Inner Hebridean Islands. To the east is the Scottish mainland and to the west, the Isle of Skye.
