The Duplets - Leverage: Gillian Fleetwood and Fraya Thomsen are two fine clarsach players which they combine with song and excellent composing skills. On their second album 'Leverage' they showcase the instrument’s versatility to spellbinding effect with a clear focus on their duo harps and voices. The opening track is a captivating version of the Robert Burns classic 'A Man's A Man for A' That'. For this CD, which was produced by Mattie Foulds, the girls had the rare opportunity to play two Dalriada harps made by Briggs, a top Scottish maker from the last century. A lovely album descibed by a reviewer as "an outbreak of sparkling gems".

"...There’s a fresh simplicity to this album – it’s an outbreak of sparkling gems, clear glittering droplets in a pure mountain stream, it is fragile notes born a gentle breeze – taken together, it is sheer unadulterated brilliance. The Duplets move deftly between the depth of their Scottish traditional heritage and the scope of their musical potential. The Duplets will go from strength to strength – no doubt about it......FolkWords
