The Strathpeffer & District Pipe Band - The New Era: Strathpeffer is a delightful spa town in Ross-shire in the Scottish Highlands. The Strathpeffer & District Pipe Band was formed in 1980 to provide entertainment for residents and visitors in the village. From their formation the band has turned out in the Mackenzie of Seaforth tartan. The Caberfeidh (stag's head) cap badge (the cover image of their CD) is another symbol of the area, both this and the tartan of the band's kilts forming part of the uniform of the Seaforth Highlanders, the local regiment. The band take pride in nurturing you pipers and drummers, as well as retaining a strong core of long-serving members. We are sure that, like us, you will enjoy listening to this excellent selection of traditional tunes from the pipe band that has played in Strathpeffer Square every Saturday night for the past 30 years!
