On Home Ground is a 'live' album from the renowned world champion band recorded in 2004 at The Simon Fraser University Theatre, British Columbia, Canada to celebrate their 40th Anniversary. In 2004 the Simon Fraser University Drum Corps won the World Drumming title for the second time. This fantastic band is recognised as one of the best live concert pipe bands in the world. On Home Ground, which was produced by Murray Blair, is a mix of march, strathspeys and reels, jigs, classic pipe band medleys plus special concert pieces, including solos and a duet. A particular mention for the solo from the band's Pipe Sergeant Jack Lee. Guest musicians Ashley MacLeod - fiddle, keyboards; David McVittie - bass guitar, bouzouki; Robert Menzies - whistles, border pipes, small pipes and bodhran add to selected tracks.
