Today the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards are stationed in Munster, Germany. Whenever there is a gap in their operational commitments, they find time to perform. They have played in a number of countries including the USA, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Bangkok and Kazakstan. The band has also featured in the Edinburgh Military Tattoo on a number of occasions where, as well as their role as Combat Medics, they have reverted to their original role of being the backbone of morale and tradition.
