Paul McCallum - Ceol a' Ghlinne (Music of the Glen): This is a lovely album. Paul has a pure tenor voice and his choice of songs show its richness to perfection. The album is mainly Gaelic song and opens with the gorgeous An t-Eilean Muileach. There's a set featuring accordionist John Carmichael also a few songs in English sprinkled throughout including Rose of Tralee which is reminiscent of the much admired tenor Count John McCormack.
Norman MacLean writes in the sleeve-notes to the CD",,,,with this CD I think Paul has cracked it. his choice of material is inspired..."
