The McCalmans - Coming Home: This “live” album concentrates mainly on the music (45 minutes of song) so their infamous, surreal introductions have been kept to a minimum, which will please some and disappoint others. It captures “The McCalmans” in full flight, in differing acoustic conditions, but there is reasonable continuity of performance in this “fly on the wall” set of recordings, which were achieved without the knowledge of their audience. “The McCalmans”, now in their 44th year on the road, are known around the world for their strong vocals, their prolific output of new songs and their idiosyncratic chat on stage. Their tough touring schedules are legendary and over the years they have recorded twenty-six original albums plus many “compilations”. The covers of these 26 albums are reproduced on the front cover of “Coming Home”. The McCalmans have never failed to deliver on entertainment and 44 years on that's still the case here.
