Jenna Reid - Morning Moon: Shetland fiddler Jenna's playing is superb on this her third solo album . The album starts with a great tune, a catchy march Jenna heard on Robbie Shepherd's 'Take the Floor' radio programme and continues to be a joy to listen to throughout. Jenna can do dazzlingly intricate reels and melting slow airs and it was also a pleasure to hear her sing the Dougie MacLean song 'Not Lie down'. Her lovely light touch and sheer musicality are complimented by her backing musicians, Harris Playfair (piano), Kevin MacKenzie (guitar), Bethany Reid,(piano), Kathleen Boyle (accordion), James Thomson (flute), Iain Sandilands (drums), Duncan Lyall (double bass) and special guest, Olov Johansson (nickelharpa) from Swedish band Vasen.The album title comes from a tune in 'The Shetland Violinist'.
