Monthly news summary of all the happenings and up and coming events in the Scottish Traditional Music scene.
The album was recorded in two venues in Fife, Scotland, by Murray Blair who also produced and mixed the album. Guest musicians: Andy Hunter (vocals); Michael Philip (accordion); Frank McGuire (percussion); Paul Clancy (keyboards); and Sandy Stannage (guitar) provide some excellent additional sounds on several tracks. There is a nice balance of competition and other sets of interesting tunes, including a lovely slow air. Brian Lamond features on Scottish smallpipes on two tracks and Douglas Murray plays a selection of his own compositions solo on the Highland bagpipe on one track.
