The 2005 World Pipe Band Championships was won by Scotland's House of Edgar Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band and this CD displays their admirable talents on that great occasion along with the great playing of the next six runner-up bands.
The World Pipe Band Championships, which is held annually in Glasgow, is organised by Glasgow City Council and the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association has been associated with the city since 1948. The event attracts at least 40,000 spectators and at least 8000 pipers from around the world.
