A double CD featuring selected highlights from the period 1995-2004 recorded at the Northern Meeting, arguably the world's most prestigious piping competition
 
This double CD contains over 140 minutes of light music from the Silver Star competition and piobaireachd from the Gold Clasp competition. It features the playing of Alasdair Gillies, Murray Henderson, Angus MacColl, Willie McCallum, Gordon Walker, Greg Wilson, James Murray, Bruce Gandy, Mike Cusack and Dr Angus MacDonald. The music was originally recorded by BBC Radio Scotland and is now released commercially for the first time.

The Northern Meeting Piping Competitions are among the world's most prestigious, and success at Inverness is the aspiration of competing pipers everywhere. This double CD contains over 140 minutes of top quality piping performed by top rank pipers, who over the past ten years or so, have figured among the prize-winners at tThe northern Meeting. The set features both Piobaireachd and Marches, Strathspeys and Reels. the items of piobaireachd are those which have won the celebrated Gold Clasp competition for which entry is gained by previously having captured the Gold Medal. Also included are selections from the Silver Star Competition which is open to former winners of the March Strathspey and Reel. The music was recorded originally for the BBC Radio Scotland's 'Pipeline' programme and now released on CD for the first time.
