Coisir Lunnainn (London Gaelic Choir)- Sia Fichead-Togail Nu Brataich (Six Score Years - Raising The Standard): This lovely CD represents an eclectic selection of songs old, new, traditional and more. It also demonstrates how innovatively the choir has expanded the Gaelic choral repertoire, with new arrangements commissioned from modern composers, and created by the choir's own conductors. The London Gaelic Choir, is the oldest Gaelic choir in existence, founded in 1891. In the 1950s the choir sang in film soundtracks including Whisky Galore, The Siver Darlings, Rockets Galore, Dark Island and the Isle of Skye. Excellent sleevenotes in both Gaelic and English.
