Breabach - Bann: Breabach have a big sound in the shape of twin bagpipes (Calum MacCrimmon and James Duncan Mackenzie) who between them also contribute flute, whistles bouzouki and vocals to the group sound. Then there is fiddle & vocals (Megan Henderson), guitar, vocals and cajun (Ewan Robertson) and double bass, vocals, percussion (James Lindsay). With this their third album and a change in line-up, Breabach who received simultaneous nominations in both the BBC Radio 2 Folk awards and the Scots Trad awards as Best group in 2011, continue to live up to there fine reputation as one of Scotland's best bands. Their considerable following will be looking forward to this album which features as varied a collection of traditional style music and song as one could wish for, excellently arranged and beautifully played.
