Bill Hill's Police Record

by Bill Hill

Bill Hill's Police Record (CD): First recorded 'live in concert' in 1978 at The Police Club in Edinburgh, a genuine classic makes a welcome return. Bill is the master of parody songwriting in the Scots folk tradition and this album neatly brings together his best work. Many of Bill's songs became standard items in the repertoire of The Corries and other songs found their way into the acts of many artistes performing on the folk scene. But, there's nobody does a Bill Hill song quite like the man himself! He has a great delivery, and, if the audience laughter on the CD is anything to go by, his live show was very entertaining!

Music Backings - Band For the Day: Davy Sinton - acoustic guitar/mandolin; John MacLean - bass guitar; Billy Cranston - fiddle.
