Monthly news summary of all the happenings and up and coming events in the Scottish Traditional Music scene.
In 1988 accordionist Phil Cunningham worked on a series of six television shows with Shetland fiddler Aly Bain for Channel Four, and this was the beginning of what has now become a well known performing partnership. As individuals, both musicians are acknowledged masters so their duo work is a real treat for anyone lucky enough to see their shows. They have recorded several fine albums together and this latest "best of" CD is a treasure chest which should delight anyone who appreciates the richness and variety of Scotland's traditional tune heritage and just loves to hear it played by the very best musicians in the business.
