Monthly news summary of all the happenings and up and coming events in the Scottish Traditional Music scene.
Fiddle player Marie Fielding's first book of 43 tunes features jigs, reels, marches, airs, reels, strathspeys and more. Marie writes in the foreward, "this book has come about due to fellow musicians asking for copies of tunes such as Kintore House, Mumbai, Splash of Port and Manus McGuire, which seem popular. It is always thrilling and an honour to hear my compositions played with individual interpretation and style. I hope that you find a favourite tune to play and enjoy".
Marie Fielding is a highly experienced fiddle player and teacher and adjudicator. She has played all over the country as a solo performer, with piper Finlay MacDonald with her brother pianist/accordionist Owen Fielding and with many Scottish dance bands including the Jim Johnstone SDB.
