ScottishPower Pipe Band is one of the world's top pipe bands and have been regular and consistent prize winners in the major pipe band championships. Demanding consistently high standards from the players, critical attention to musical performance and band presentation is given by Pipe Major Roddy MacLeod and Drum Sergeant Barry Wilson.
Having travelled extensively overseas, the band is constantly in demand and maintains a busy and exciting schedule. In the past, the band has proudly represented ScottishPower in the USA, Canada, Japan and many European cities. They were also seen by millions of viewers on television networks throughout China.
In April 2002, the band was honoured to lead the Tartan Day Parade through Manhattan, New York City, a parade of almost 10,000 pipers uniting to raise money for international cancer charities. A further highlight of the Band's year was performing for The Pope when they were guests at a charity concert in The Vatican, Rome.
