This young duo both hail from the Orkney Islands (north of Scottish mainland). Sarah was taught by the great Jennifer Wrigley and Kris is the son of Ivan Drever from the fabulous Wolfstone.
Sarah has toured extensively throughout Europe and Cape Breton with her fiddle. She has a knack for choosing great tunes that not many people play (always hard) and she plays them in an intimate style that totally compliments Kris' guitar. Sarah is currently performing in Harem Scarem with whom she has recored an album titled Let Them Eat Fishcake.
Kris' singing is becoming increasingly popular in Scotland with his new interpretations of the old traditional songs (check out Cauld Rainy Night) and his own contempory compositions. He is currently a member of rising stars Fine Friday and has played with John McCusker, Tim O’Brian, Harem Scarem, Leo McCann and his father Ivan Drever’s Band. |
