Roddy MacLeod MBE is one of the most distinguished and widely accomplished pipers of his generation, and one of Highland piping’s most profoundly influential identities.
As one of the world's most accomplished competitive solo pipers, he is also The National Piping Centre's founding director of piping. Roddy was tutored by eminent piper and composer Duncan Johnston who found him a painstaking and musically gifted pupil. Roddy MacLeod went on to win all of solo piping's most coveted awards, many of them several times over.
He was Pipe Major of the World renowned Grade 1 Scottish Power Pipe Band from 1995 - 2005 during which time he led them to many successes in major competition including the Cowal Championships and the All-Ireland Championship.
