Marie-Louise is a native of Grantown on Spey and studied music and singing at Glasgow University. After singing for a few years with Scottish Opera she returned to her native town to bring up her family.
Since then she has taken up the Highland Harp to accompany her singing and has performed throughout the north, at folk festivals, at the Edinburgh Festival, at the International Harp Festival and in America and France. Her show "Fair and Tender Ladies" with her sister Kirsty has appeared at Edinburgh's fringe. Their programme, under the banner of "No Spring Chickens" is a miscellany of words and music which they hope will win them another 5 -star rating....
Marie-Louise is also mother to Hamish and Findlay Napier from the band Back of the Moon. |
