MacAlias are multi-award winning singer sonwriter Karine Polwart (formerly of Malinky and the Battlefield Band) and singer songwriter and actress Gill Bowman. Karine is currently being hailed as one of the best young singers to emerge on the Scottish music scene for a long time and Gill has already earned a fine reputation through her Edinburgh Festival Fringe presentations and many other performances.
