    Laverock

Laverock are a young Celtic rock band from the Udny area of Aberdeenshire, who have been entertaining crowds at ceilidhs, weddings and fundraisers for over four years. Laverock have gone from strength to strength and have played venues ranging from small village halls to the Aberdeen exhibition centre, and are equally at home at modest family occasions, corporate events or full blown Scottish Weddings. The band combine traditional Scottish reels and jigs with a contemporary feel to produce a powerhouse of Celtic rock.

Laverock's line up includes the amazing talents of well-known local fiddler Stuart Critchley, who is at present refining his fiddle making skills at university. Stuart's soaring tunes are backed up by a compact rhythm section comprising Jonathan (a former member of NYOS: National Youth Orchestra Scotland), Ben (currently studying at RSAMD: Royal Scottish Academy for Music and Drama) and Andy Pirrie on drums/percussion, keys and guitars
respectively. The band is fronted by Robert McGregor who doubles-up calling dances and whistle playing.
