The Westray Band from the Orkney Islands has been providing music for dancing in the local community for 17 years. Prior to that the core of the band had gathered to celebrate the Silver Wedding of neighbours and have re-appeared as required ever since.The membership varies depending on where the dance is held and on who can get there. John P Drever on accordion and Liz Drever on gutar have been the mainstay of the band at home and at venues around Orkney. |
