Isobel Ann Martin hails from the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. She started singing at a young age and went on to win the Traditional Gold Medal at ‘The Royal National Mod’ in 2005, at the tender age of 18. She had been keeping a relatively low profile with only occasional musical outings on various CDs and a few television appearances.
