    Hamish MacGregor and the Blue Bonnets

    Hamish MacGregor is a pseudomn of Simon Thoumire who got together with Jennifer & Hazel Wrigley and Julia Legge (the Blue Bonnets) to make this record of great traditional tunes for people who would like to hear Scottish music from different areas of our country.

    Musicians:
    Simon Thoumire - Concertina, Highland pipes, border pipes, whistles
    Jennifer Wrigley - fiddle
    Hazel Wrigley - guitar, keyboard
    Julia Legge - fiddle

    Simon Thoumire and Jennifer Wrigley are both past winners of the prestigious BBC 'Young Tradition' Award. Edinburgh born Simon is an influential figure on the traditional music scene running the organisation Hands Up For Trad. He was a member of Seannachie and currently plays and tours with great traditional band Keep it Up and in a duo with pianist David Milligan.  Jennifer & Hazel Wrigley (pictured) from the Orkney Islands have played all over the world as a duo and with band Seelyhoo. they have several CD,s to their credit. Julia Legge, from Montrose in the North East of Scotland was a member of Tannas with whom she recorded 2 CD's.
