The Glasgow Islay Gaelic Choir was formed in 1944 and has over the years, enjoyed considerable success at the National Mod, winning the Lovat & Tullibardine Trophy for the supreme Gaelic choir on occasions. Further afield there has been considerable success at the Pan Celtic Festival in Ireland and in May 1995, in Vancouver.
