Elizabeth Morewood of Mid Yell has been collecting the traditional songs of Shetland because she was concerned that, as years passed, they were becoming unknown. To ensure that those songs do not get forgotten and lost forever she recorded them on CD at Dave Sinton’s studio in Haroldswick. To date she has recorded 23 songs from areas such as Yell, Unst, bressay and Fetlar.
