Duncan Johnstone was one of the finest pipers of his generation and a exceptionally well-regarded piping tutor. He was also a prolific composer (and the saying that he had a couple of jigs for breakfast was not far from the truth). In his lifetime, Duncan composed around seventy tunes including Farewell to Nigg, The Isle of Barra March, The Streaker, James McLellan's Favourite, and the Lament for Alan my Son. Although Duncan's music is played all over the world, there are quite a number of tunes that have not been published until now. "His Complete Compositions" is a must for all pipers.
