Donald M MacLeod, a Gaelic singer from the Isle of Islay in Scotland's southern Hebrides won the National Mod Gold in Medal in 1952. While he has lived all his life on Islay, such is his popularity as a Gaelic singer that he has been invited to perform all over the world.
