Calum Alex MacMillan, from the Isle of Lewis, is one of Scotland's leading young Gaelic singers. He is a winner of the Royal National Mod's two premier awards for singing: the An Comunn Gold Medal and the Traditional Gold Medal. Calum Alex is both a singer and a piper and has been steeped in Gaelic music and song since the day he was born.
Arthur Cormack writes," Calum Alex has a lovely traditional style to his singing, easy to listen to and with pure Gaelic. With 'Seonaidh Neag na Lochies' as a father and William MacKenzie (Bard Chnoc Chusbaig) in his mother's family line, he comes witrh an impressive pedigree, and is one of my favourites among the young Gaelic singers of today." |
