Breabach are a pipe based folk group that originally formed in Glasgow as students enjoying the thriving folk scene at sessions and ceilidhs. Breabach are, Calum MacCrimmon (highland pipes, whistles), Donal Brown (highland pipes, whistles & step dancing), Patsy Reid (fiddle) and Ewan Robertson (guitar). Coming from all different parts of Scotland, their combination of strong traditional tunes with original arrangements produces a sound that has been wowing audiences for some time now and helped them achieve success at Celtic Connections 'Danny Kyle Open Stage Competition' 2005.
"I was particularly impressed and entertained by the stylistic variety and integrity of the playing from a fiddler's perspective. Patsy has grasped the threads of many different fiddle influences and combined them into a very fine and very personal musical tapestry." - Alasdair Fraser.
