Alpha Munro began composing music in 1990. Her inspiration comes from the Highland landscape, its fauna and flora, its people and the ever- sounding sea. She has written and arranged music for touring community arts events, video, school productions and her youth group The Kiltèarn Feis Rois Fiddlers. As a freelance musician Alpha (Sarah) Munro works in all areas of the community eg Fèis Rois, in special schools, day centres, with Under 5s, senior citizens and in the community arts arena; as well as teaching privately at home. She performs in ceilidh bands and with the Kiltearn Fiddlers. She creates projects through Fèis Rois, Artlink Highland, Evanton Seniors Music group and Clan Munro as well as serving on their committees. |
